what a tiring day! mel and i spent about 9 hours finishing the deco and backdrop for the christmas today. in total we spent about 18 hours doing the whole thing. it was no joke, esp if only two people doing most of it.fortunately wanjing, dawne and auntie agnus dropped by occasionally to help out. yup. thanks!
now let me talk more about it. i was too lazy to write everything down in my previous entries.hah. to start of with, i'll talk about the clouds first. we [mel and i] had a hard time pasting cotton on the styrofoam cos the glue was sticky [duh] and made a lot of cotton, which were already starting to fall off, stick on our fingers. how sickening. especially the stupid sides. we finally managed to paste cotton all over, including the sides. yay! it was hard work. but still, yaayyyy! hah. this process got ourselves all wooly, or cottony and made us like sheeps. by the way i'm exaggerating. but it was something to that effect.
next was the glittering process. as usual, the glitter were stuck on our hands. we sprinkled them on the clouds and when the spotlight shines on them, they'd look wonderfully beautifully gorgeous. mel and melly have already booked them when the musical is over. by then the glitter might all fall out, but it's alright. after glittering, we, or rather i, poked a hole on the cloud. mel threaded the fishing line through the hole and i cut the string and tied it. we worked like professional factory workers. a factory that makes clouds. a factory that has only two workers. not bad eh. probably the first in the world. hee.
and oh. in the evening we went to amk central to buy glitter. first we went to jubilee popular to looks for gold and slver glitter which are sold individually. they were sold out so we bought those in packets, which consisted of others as well. then we like walked almostt the whole of amk central to looks for a shop that sells fishing line. we went from one shop to another. some shop keepers just stared at us glumly and shook their big heads. others simply said meiyou and went of to entertain other customers who would give them business. still dare call singapore a service industry? i'm ashamed. anyway, we finally landed at a shop where the shop keepers knew how inportant customr service is. it's the shop where marya and i saw the lady with HAs. haha. they told us that the shop beside meizhenxiang sells it. finally! perhaps the rest of the shops knew where to buy it from, but they were just too jealous that they would not be able to earn money from us so they decided not to say just in case the other shop gets to do business with us. the more i would not buy things from these kind of people. so if in any case you're reading this entry and if youreone of those shop keepers i'm refering to, please go rethink your business strategy.
now i'll go on to talk about the sun. we did it yestterday with the help of dawne. i shall not write every single detail here cos the whole sun thing is quite a long story. i'll just say that it'd turn out very terrific. the circle was quite difficult to draw, and dawne and i spent quite a long time trying to make it look as perfect as possible. hah. still, nothing in this world s ever perfect. so we're excused!! oh yes.. please remeber to have a suffiicient amount of eggs before christmas day if not on christmas morning, you'll be craving for eggs. if you know what i mean. heh.
alright. i better end here. it's not very early anymore. goodnight!
