today had piano lessons. learnt about harmony and chord progressions. hopefully can take theory exam soon. i prefer theory to practical. hahh. yay. ending with a minor is actually quite nice. it gives sort of a question mark kind of feeling. can also end with Ic, V7 , I or IV, V,I OR II,V,I. chord II can be replaced by chord IV. all these are done so that different moods/ feelings can be expressed. for example, if a minor chord is used for a certain key, the melody would sound sad, and if a major chord is used, it'll sound happier. yup. quite nice, but she asked me to write everything, including the inversions in roman numerals, which i dont like. she says that it is so that i'd get a hang of it. dunno. the chords that i wrote for homework were mostly correct, but all at the wrong timing. haha. i'll just admit that i'm not really good at timings and beats and rhythms. so i dont think i can become a good drummer, cos surely out of timing. haha. especially if there's a dotted quaver, then my timing surely wrong already. haha. i better work on it.
right now i'm sort of still contemplating whether i should go for the hangten and watsons interview. maybe just go lar, but i really really dont want to work on saturdays and sundays. they're my most important days. they're the only days i get to socialise. hopefully if i get employed, my manager/supervisor would let me work five days a week. really really hope. pleeease.. i'm still waiting for times to call me and shoes. i seriously prefer working there compared to watsons and hangten. i think i'm a little to choosy about jobs. actually i cant afford to be chooosy cos i havent even collected my o level results yet, and i'm not even 17. instead, i should be grateful if a company employs me.
my dad going to las vegas tomorrow. actually today cos it's 12+ already. this means that i can use comp late into the night without waiting for him! yay! haha. quite mean. flight's at 6am. so early. he has to wake up at 4 but i purposely set the alarm at 345. chuckles. hopefully he doesnt gamble cos 9 out of ten people lose money. as vivian balakrishnan[i think] says, it's a source of entertainment, and not a source of money making. the only people who earn money are the casino company and the government. that's true isn't it. i think the reason why people gamble is for the thrill of it. imagine loosing like hundreds or even thousands of dollars just to be thrilled or excited. its just not worth it. despite of all these, people still continue streaming into casinos, each time in hope that they'd win a fortune. but this seldom happens, and the same applies to buying toto, 4d and horse race betting. i'd rather save my money and use it to clothes and shoes, and more clothes and shoes, and buy my mummy a frank muller watch with diamonds. hah. loooks like i've got work very hard and forget about my clothes and shoes. hee. i think i'll have to settle for those 3 for $10 clothes from the market. hahahahaa. they're really ugly. perhaps i should try to start liking them so that buying would not be so difficult. haa. what crap.
oh yes! it's Grace's 17th birthday today. so haappy birthday and God Bless!
