try out my new recipe! it's called the 'cassandra's swiss-rosti-inspired fried diced potato'.
ingredients:
1 diced potato, preferably cooked with the skin peeled [serves one]
two thirds teaspoon of low fat and low salt butter
a pinch of salt
some oregano and pepper for taste
things needed:
a hungry stomach
a passion for cooking
a frying pan
the big spoon used for cooking
flame
steps:
1. turn on the stove. not too big fire
2. put the butter into the pan until it melts and becomes hot
3.throw in the diced potato and toss it a little. do not keep stirring or they dish would become mashed potato instead
4. after a while, increase the heat so that the surface of the potato turns golden brown and quite crispy.
5. add a pinch of salt [optional]
6.when golden brown, sprinkle oregano and pepper to enhance the taste.
7. turn off the fire
8. dish it
9.serve with one serving of fruits and one serving of veggies.
