yay! i finally finished reading the danielle steel book after two days. i dont really like the ending though. wasnt nice enough. i shant write what the book is about cos i have always hated doing book reviews. in fact, i've never really done a proper one in my life. haha. i made up stories for book reviews in primary school, and and anyhow gave them authers. haha. it was how i survived. yup. i'll start on my next book tomorrow. maybe i'll read the nora roberts one. or maybe the last dance. was just watching this really spoil show on channel 8, starring steven chow. i dont rreally understand the show. something like about gambling and magical powers and suddenly they go back on time. then they also played the shanghaitan song. i suppose it's supposed to be quite hilarious. today had cg. was generally alright, but i felt different about it. the difference was good. yups. this morning woke up very early to go to the talk at moe about teaching. i would on the whole it was boring. the only thing that spiced the whole talk up was the head of arts from nafa. cant remember his name. it's tan something something. mum and i laughed whenever he spoke cos number one, he tried to use cheem words all at the wrong time, and number two, his hand kept shaking whenever he spoke. at the last part of the talk, there was a question and answer session. we were supposed to post questions to him or the two other people at the panel either verbally through the microphine, or by writing it down on paper. the funny part was when he said 'okay, i've got a question'. for a moment we were like stunned cos the audience were supposed to ask the questions and he was supposed to answer. actually what he meant was that he was asked a question. bleah.. he's obviously chinese educated and cant really speak english well. maybe he graduated from ntu. i heard that it's a very cheena school, but not sure how true this is. heh. oh and yes, chinese new year is coming. it isnt really surprising that i'm not really looking forward to this holiday cos i'm having holiday now anyway.
things i'm looking forward to this chinese new year:
-new clothes, and shoes
-money
-food
-reunion dinner
-cell home visit
things i'm not looking forward to:
-new year songs
-new year decorations
-relatives asking where i'm studying and how old am i
-crowded chinatown
now i'm deciding if should accept the offer to go to temasek poly, or apply for the teaching as a career thingy. the teaching thing sounds really appealing cos during my course of study[if i'm accepted], all the tuition fees would be paid for by moe, or indirectly, tax payers. also, there'd be a monthly allowance of $800. it's a really good offer, but we've got to serve a five year bond in a secondary school after we finish nafa and nie. and the starting pay is $1500 to $1600. nto bad eh. the problem for me now is whether teaching is what i want to do, or would i prefer working in the industry. although this teaching thing has industrial attachments, i'm still doubtful about it. there's really nothing to loose if i join this programme cos i like the thought of going back to xinmin to teach. xinmin is the best school. better than rgs. kim you read this? sometimes i wonder if i'm even up to the standard cos i feel that i'm not up to it. in other words, not good enough. let's not talk about this anymore la. first of all, i havent even been selected to join the programme and most importantly, i havent even gotten my o level results yet. the assuring thing is that if i didnt manage to get into this moe thing, at least i still got temasek poly to fall back on. one thing's definite, i'm never going to a jc. unless..
oh yes.. i suddenly remember that i've to buy matt gloss to spray on my shoes. mel said that she'll share it with me cos it's rather costly. i had better get it down quickly, in time for chinese new year. quite exciting. if anyone's interested in this, i'll gladly do it for you, but at a cost. it's negotiable. feel free to contact me. but please provide your own shoes cos dont expect me to know what shoe size fits your foot, and what kind of shoe you like.
alright, it's time to go. bye!
