i think i'm allergic to washing veggies. was just washing a whole bunch of kangkong just now and now my hands are itching like crazy. darn.
i really really want to live a one room flat all alone when i grow up. it'll be just be and my doggie, and no one else. oh what fun it would be. it'll be as messy as it can be.

ponder of the day:
sometimes i dont understand why it is easier to be badly influenced rather than get influenced in a good way.

met weijin and went to the gym at her condo. i would say it was a successful trip to the gym. did oblique and abdominal crunches, i think 100 in total. leg curl and leg extension for hamstring and quadriceps, and shoulder press and lateral raises for biceps and triceps. finally, i ended the session with a 20min run on the threadmill. i'm not sure how long 1 lap is though. then we went to andrew's house to play basketball. but it wasnt considered playing la. just throwing the ball into the net. harhar. then as i approached the bus stop opposite the calrose, i saw this mad banglah man squating on top of the drain hole cover without his pants on. means can see his butt la. thank goodness he was facing the back of the bus stop. i think he was shitting or what. cos he used a dried leave on the ground to clean. gross man. it was too terrible a sight to behold. maybe he's not mad. perhaps it's their culture to do such things in the open. but on second though, i still think he's mad. fortunately my bus came before he managed to finish his business.
i'm getting my results for the first semester back this saturday. darn. i'm scared. and i dont want to do supplementary papers. it's bad for my records. sigh. i'm so worried i fail photography cos i didnt put it into the fixer long enough, so there're brown spots when i handed it in. shucks man. actually i'm worried for everything la. you know, the normal nervousness you get on results day. sigh.
something seems to be wrong with my eyesight these days. all around me seem to be getting super clear when i put on my specs. the feeling of wearing your new specs for the first time. the groggy and nauseous feeling. my eyesight cant be getting better cos i havent yet made an effort to look at green things to improve it. all i do is look at book or the comp screen, which totally wont help you improve your eyesight. heh.
today's dinner was good. i fried fish with ginger. i filleted[guess there's no such word] the fish, and took out the internal organs. by the time the fish was clean, my hands were bloooody. haha. and the smell was surely nice. i pan fried the fish in ginger, as i said, and terriyaki sauce. and it eaten with chilli was just so nice. haha. yay. cooking is fun! but not the getting oily part and the cleaning up. now i feel like having a barbeque. love'em! but much exercise is need after them.
i miss school. but on the other hand, i dont feel like going back to school in november and december. so many exciting things would be going on and school no longer appeals. furthermore i'd be busy doing many many many things. looks like i've got to manage my time properly. of course, with the strength of God i believe i can. hee. :)
i managed to speak to pastor william on sunday. i'm quite surprised that he even recognises me despite the fact that i've never talked to him. not even during ymlc. but anyway, my point is that i'd most likely start my work in church at the end of the month. i'm quite excited about it, but at the same time quite nervous. it's good cos they understand commitments i have like cell group and the occasional worship prac. i dont think the pay would be good la. however it doesnt matter, cos money cant buy experience.
just the other day a few of us were talking about me playing for the previous igc sunday service. then someone asked 'so how many people were in the sanctuary watching you?' of course i wasnt the only one playing la. still got the keyboardist, drummer, bassist etc. another person replied ' bout 400 plus i think'. bla bla blaaa. then suddenly a voice inside me said that actually there was only one audience, and that is, God. amen? it reminded me of the purpose of why i joined the ministry and other ministries as well. yeap.
this is the end of a very random entry. heh.

yesterday weijin came to stayover. we watched 3 or 4 cds of mvp qing ren. my first time watching the show. i never thought these kind of taiwanese shows would be so nice. okay. maybe not so nice, but at least to my liking. then we watched honey. was a bit hesitant to watch the show at first cos it was about dancing and i'm very NOT into dancing, you see. but we watched it anyway. the storyline's quite meaningful actually. i thought it was one another of those dumb shows. those all about dancing here and there, which isnt worth my watching. so i'm quite pleased. haha.
at 315am, we decided that we were hungry. we actually wanted to eat prata, but since we found fries in the freezer, it was a better choice. we cooked the fries in the microwave and the toaster. was quite funny la. and it took us half an hour just to cook fries. at least they werent chao ta. harhar. lalalaaa.
oh shucks! tmr's my bro's birthday and i forgot to buy him his mechanical pencil birthday present yet. ahahhaah. maybe i should just give him the money and ask him to ownself go buy. haha. i'm a meanie. :)

yayy! XINMIN gets the SCHOOL EXCELLENCE AWARD. once again, i'm proud of my school, although i'm no longer there. last year when we got the school distinction award, channel news asia came to film my school and us in the library. and filmed a few of us walking in to the foyer with mr chia. our 5 seconds of fame. we got to see what they do behind the scences when they film stuff for news. of course some of the things are done cos they asked us to do it. like the walking to the foyer thing. we did it 3 times cos the cameraman wasnt satisfied. many things are put up or arranged. tralala.
oh ya. was talking to grace lee the other day and i said tralala. and she said it sounded like captain underpants. haha. captain underpants! it's a character from her bro's storyboook and i think it's very funny. so after research about the book, i found out that captain underpants uses his super elastic underpants to fight bad guys. captain underpants is actually the school headmaster. and when he hears a click sound, he changes into captain underpants. but he doesnt know who he really is. haha. so much for a children's book. and captain underpants looks like a raw potato. hahh.
this morning i had a hard time trying to take photos of t-rex with my manual slr. a very hard time indeed. imagine trying to turn the lens to focus and metering when he keeps moving and facing his butt at my face. thank goodness he didnt fart.
today's a fine day. so i'll sing this song:
let the sun shine
let the sun shine
let the sun shine in
joy to the world
all the boys and girls
joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea
joy to you and me
oh happy day
oh happy day
when jesus washed
when jesus washed
when jesus washed
all my sins away!

today i found a nice matt redman song in media guide. here's it. nice melody and technical stuff aside, i really like the lyrics. indeed, no love is like Your love.
Here is love, vast as the ocean
Lovingkindness as the flood
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom
Shed for us His precious blood
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten
Throughout Heav'n's eternal days
On the mount of crucifixion
Fountains opened deep and wide
Through the floodgates of God's mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide
Grace and love, like mighty rivers
Poured incessant from above
And Heav'n's peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love
Chorus:
No love is higher, no love is wider
No love is deeper, no love is truer
No love is higher, no love is wider
No love is like Your love, o Lord
And Heav'n's peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love
Here is love, vast as the ocean
Lovingkindness as the flood
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom
Shed for us His precious blood
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten

ymlc was indeed an experience. and i do not regret the decision to go. but anyway i couldnt back out either. heh. was the youngest person from amkmc to go cos sarah couldnt go. if not she'd be the youngest. haha! being the youngest has it's good and bad. hhe. always being made to eat lots of food by cell5..haaha. and got to know people from the older cell groups better, which is good! and i'm in group 1! the youngest group. thankful for nice mentors. and i made new friends from other methodist churches too. juliana and shaun from faith, shauna from methodist church of the incarnation, jacq and ian from barker road, mei en from living hope, yang shen from wesley, and paul from payar lebar, wendy from pentacost and weeteck from aldersgate. nice people:) fortunately i'm not the youngest from my group cos i'm so not used to being one. just as i expected, miss tan from xm was there too! jinghui from tp design also went. learnt many many things about trac, ministries, growing in faith, and methodist distinctives. there was also a session about how to become a pastor. the rev kow shiming who was talking about it was quite funny. he said that the first reason not to become a pastor is if you've got nothing better to do. it's true, but quite funny. but being one is really not easy. got to go through many interviews with 55 board of ministers, then go through a trial period and all that. whew!
at the end i came out refreshed, and strengthened. praise God man. to jop, judy, jit, nelson, louis and andrew: i think amk's worship was good, despite not having a bassist and drummer. but it all doesnt matter, cos God's the focus. yup. thank God! :) :) :) :)
who can it be? heh.

monday was supposed to go for a photography excursion at little india with sher. but it turned out to be a real excursion. we walked from little india mrt to boonkeng mrt just to look for a shopwhich elaine recommended to us to get the deco materials. though we didnt buy anything, it was worth our efforts cos we got ideas. then a few doors down there was a cool shop. it sells things like road signs, speed limit numbers, and stickers that are normally used in industries to warn people about things, like say radioactive stuff. quite cool ar. actually walking down little india's quite exciting. didnt know such shops existed around that area, and can get things pretty cheap also. :) hence the term 'real excursion'. along the corridor there was this huge iron gate leaning against the pillar. you know those with intricate designs normally used for the gates of bungalows. it was a bit mouldy and mossy, which made it look antique. it was so nice that sher got so excited and started taking pictures. those were the only pictures we took. haha. nevertheless, i had a fun time. heh.
yesterday i finally went to ICA to update my passport photo. fortunately it didnt take as long as i expected. waited for like only 10 minutes. in the afternoon had exercising fellowship with weijin, melly and my fellow sheep, serena. i was late. supposed to meet serena on the bus. but i was so late that even when she alighted and walked over to my house i wasnt even ready yet. oops. i was cleaning the windows k. we went to kebun baru cc. so refrain from being too long winded, melly and i ended up playing badminton. the net was super siang! then at around 430, weijin took over me and serena and i went across the road to eat taohuay. was quite nice considering the fact that i havent eaten it for months. then cos we were yaogui, [hungry ghosts], we decided to head over to macs to share a packet of medium fries. at the counter i decided to enquire about the change of my ez link card and transfer membership to my new card. after that i decided to check my points. fortunately there were enough points to get us a 6 piece chicken nuggets. *grins* so much so for exercising fellowship! it became eating fellowship. so typical girlzone-like. hahaa. so we were happily fellowsheeping when melly and weijin cleverly found us at macs. heh. and so our eating fellowship continued. they bought more fries and milo, and melly and i bought the ice cream cone. haha. good attempt and effort trying to slim down. i must be the most guilty one. my guilt conscience! mel left for home and the three of us went to bishan park to jog, in a bid to loose the fats and calories, cholestrol, carbo, salt and sugar.
but it didnt work.
cos yesterday night my parents decided to go to mustafa to walk around and for supper. we left home at around 12am. boy oh boy. i didnt know that besides geylang, mustafa/serangoon area was another red light district. just lesser known. in just 15 minutes i saw 3 of them. them refers to prostitutes, transvestites or both or whatever you call them. gosh. it was 230am in the morning. we wanted to eat prata and thosai, but the shop that sold thosai didnt sell prata and the shop that sold prata didnt sell thosai. so we decided to drive down syed alwi road and ate prawn noodles instead. supper desert was red bean pao. here comes the fats again! finally reached home at 3 plus.
today i woke up at about 10 plus. i slept at 4. after lazing around, my mum said that we were going to copthorne orchid to have buffet lunch. the food was ok only. but i had four scoops of icecream. two chocolate and two chocochip with chocolate syrup, colourful chocolate rice and shreds of white chocolate. chocolates! but unfortunately chocolates= fats. once again, so much so for exercising yesterday. the calories burnt were a far cry from what was gained. sigh.
in 8 hours time i'd be leaving for johore for the young methodist leaders' conference. ymlc for short. i'm a bit scared, but for no apparent reason i can think of. which means that i wont be online. however you can still msg me if you need to talk. i think we can still receive singtel signal at the hotel. it's just five minutes from the causeway. if you're at wodlands, i can wave to you. :) but for now, i better go sleep. no wait, i've got to pack first. tata!

i realised that i havent blogged for nearly ten thousand years. okay la. maybe more like a week. the reason is that i've been very busy finishing my final projects for all my subjects. yup. and today i've got no school. ahahahaaa!
today's the start of my two month holiday! to those who are still having exams, i wish you all the best! someone please tell me what to do these two months. there're no projects whatsoever. if slack, it'll mean that in total, i slacked for 7 months this year. that's more than half a year! i better find something productive to do. like work or something. hopefully jop gets back to me about the admin thing in church, or ask sher if the library needs more librarians. but seriously, i'd rather work in church and do filing than work in the library. there's no need to keep talking or walking around in church when doing admin stuff. to put it simply, i'm lazy la. heh. on the other hand, library is a more interesting place to work, and more things can be learnt. now i talk as if i really got the job. darn. in the first place i only enquired for one of them. maybe i can work in a farm or something. help to clear the dung.
i thought i just started school not long ago and now i have my two months break. and another one coming up at the end of dec. but looks like i've to pon school for yf camp. i foresee the distance between school and whereever the campsite is. argh. i always feel guilty whenever i pon school. but i only ponned once anyway. see i'm so guai.
i'm quite excited cos mooncake festival's coming. i love mooncakes! especially those with really large yolks inside. yum! mooncake party anyone? we can carry lanterns and drink tea as well! :)
went back to xinmin on wed for teachers day celebration. saw quite a number of teachers. and i'm quite surprised that miss koh, now mrs thang, and miss yeo still remembers my name. miss yeo always says 'good morning crass!' and 'any dowds?[doubts]. was quite funny. bittersweet memories. but quite sad cos didnt see hualaoshi and mrs teo and mrs lee. but saw miss tan, mrs melissa tan, mrs irene tan, gabriel tan[so many tans], miss lim!, miss ong, mrs yeap, mr pah, mr singh, mr chia, miss and miss quek. i just realised that throughout my four years in sec school only two chinese teachers thought me. which is why i dont have a good rapport with chinese teachers, which explains my chinese results. but that was jsut an excuse la. huanglaoshi and hualaoshi did their jobs well. *applause* oh yes. i realised that some teachers became fatter. haha. i shall not name who. i'm so mean. but i really cant help but be observant. of course some of them slimmed down also la. again, i shall not name who. how i wish i could turn the clock back and go back to my sec 4 days all over again. i miss the slackness and the hardworkingness of e6! 4e6, the only sec 4 class that got chased out of our airconed classroom. haha. fortunately it was only for a week if not we could have died in the spoil classroom. i thank God that i got into my second choice of school after receiving my psle results. i could have gotten into pl but God led me to xinmin. thank God! :) yay! and i thank God for MARYA and HEIDI, my bestest friends in school, same class since sec one. we slacked together, greedied together, and worked hard together. oh we worked hard? haha. marya's shoulder makes quite a good arm rest. sorry bubbles! joking only. heh. and heidi's lormee and terrapins in the pocket/bag/pencil case!
i love xinmin
and i just cant deny it!
the SLs must be proud of me that i remembered the first line of the school cheer. haha. so long as i mean it, the other lines doesnt matter anymore.
as we go on
we remember
all the times we
had together
and as our lives change
come whatever
we will still be
friends forever
right heis and marya?
