just a thought..
guys these days are getting from bad to worse. everyday after school i'd alight at seletar camp tp take 86 home. and never has there once been a day when any of the guys from the army or working in seletar camp give way to me when boarding the bus. not me alone, but all the other ladies and aunties who're boarding the same bus as well. instead they squeeze to the front with their big and stinky bodies, hoping to be the first to board the bus. today i overheard one of the guys calling the squeezing 'zouk style'. !!!! yeah right. dont the army teach them how to be more gentlemanly? i guess maybe not la. sometimes i wonder why people say that the army make boys become men, when these things still happen. it's just not the singaporean culture for guys to give way to girls, to let girls cut their queue, to open doors for girls and even to let girls alight and board buses. maybe they think it's uncool or sissy to do such things. or maybe they have the 'if no one does it, why should i?' attitude. what has our society become?
sigh. with that, i shake my head in digust.
