i've got a stiff neck. this is the price you pay when you try to sneak in another 10 minutes of sleep in the morning. if i woke up 10 minutes earlier, i wouldnt have to suffer this fate. now i cant turn my head to the left. sometimes it's actually quite fun getting things like a stiff neck or a cut, cos at least you wont feel bored if you're all alone. know what i mean? having such things makes you have something to think about or feel, so your mind wont wander around aimlessly, which hence causes you to feell bored. getting big abrasions is sometimes good too! like those i have rarely occasionaly. everyday you get to analyse what comes out of the wound, like pus or blood etc. then you get to practice first aid skills on yourself, and scream at yourself for the pain you've inflicted upon yourself. you can also record how well the wound is healing, and if you're free enough, perhaps you can keep a journal or draw up a healing/time graph. you know, like those we do during physics practical.
today i had the honour of watching singapore's women tabletennis team battling it out with the aussies to victory to get the republic's coveted first gold medal in the 2006 commonwealth games in melbourne, thanks to tv mobile. it definitely made my one and half hour bus ride from pasir ris to toa payoh a more enjoyable one. bet all the other passengers in the bus were proud as they watched the singapore flag fly high as the national anthem played after the prize giving ceremony. :) :)
sometimes it's really quite silly having such tournaments when the players are all foreigners, especially from china. in the aussie team, there was only one australian. or at least only one of them looked like an aussie. the match between asutralia and new zealand was actually a match between two chinese people. how silly la! so much so for it being called the commonwealth games when china is not even a member of the commonwealth. i guess only the team from india doesnt have foreigners.
need a haircut again! maybe wed. teeheehee.
