HAPPY 41ST BIRTHDAY, SINGAPORE!
this year has been an exciting one and more is to come. indeed, this is a year of many changes and many new things :)

last night i had a really weird dream. as usual, it was of someone dying. the unusual thing was that i didnt see the person literally dying in front of me. it was the oscar wilde's dorian gray concept, where a life was represented by a painting. in my dream, the life wasnt a real oil painting kind of painting, but rather more like a piece of batik kind of thing. the setting was in a classroom. the piece of batik was hung in front, with a network of blood vessels with red ink surrounding the whole cloth which signifies the life of the class. suddenly the teacher asked the boy in front of me why his face was turning purple. at the same time, there was a blot of purple ink on the batik that represents the area where he sits. as the boy dies [ reason is unknown], the blot of purple ink got bigger and bigger, until the whole cloth was purple. by then the only imagery in my mind was the cloth that has turned purple. soon the whole cloth turned white and we knew that the boy was dead already. then the network of bloodvessels appeared again, but this time, it did not connect to the area the boy was sitting. how weird! must be the alice in wonderland i've been reading. it's a great book! and believe it or not, i'm reading it for the first time in all the 18 years i've lived! alice is funny girl. and i like how they play with words in both clever and stupid ways.

i thought today would be a good day. after all, it's national day, my favourite public holiday. but due to some reasons, the morning didnt turn out the way i wanted it to be. firstly, i wasnt pleasantly awoken, and secondly, there was nothing for breakfast. no bread, no cornflakes/cereal and no pancake mix. sigh. at least i got asked out by some nice people for lunch and to hang out. and that made my day, although three of us didnt quite know what to do. heh. :) for the first time in a few years, due to the same reasons as stated above, my family didnt order kfc delivery for dinner while watching the ndp on television. for the first time in my life i watched the ndp all alone in the basement. sigh. and it wasnt my fault at all. this year's ndp wasnt spectacular. maybe cos i had no company. rarr. nevermind.

i am busy. busyness is good! yay!
this is home, truely
where i know i must be
where my dreams wait for me
where the river always flows
this is home, surely
as my senses tell me
this is where i wont be alone
for this is where
i know
i'm home
