it's been a long long day. woke up at 515 to go to unity for digital art lessons. spent a whole hour with adam saving the files in the external disk drive and switching off the computers, which are extremely slow.after lunch with the digital art folks, s and i took the train from yewtee to jurong east, and then from jurong east to expo for comex2006. it was a long journey man. and i didnt ghave a place to sit until halfway through the journey. anyway comex was crowded as usual. nikon was our first stop, for obvious reasons. hah. it's the first thing that catches your eye when you step into the halls. canon, on the other hand, is somewhere in the corner, not very visible unless you're somewhere in the middle of the hall. we had a feel of how the d200 and d70s is like. goodness. the nikon d200 sure feels awesome. you wont want to pic up the d70s after that. but but but.. the price isnt that awesome. so now i'm in a dilema. okay not really a dilema la. i just cant decide which model to buy. the d70, though cheaper and comes with lens, is only 6.10megpix, as compared to the d200 which is 10.2pix and does not come with lens. the d200 costs $2988 and d70s costs $1788. i dunno which to get, but i think i'll most likely be the d70s la. not that i got a lot of money to spend also. by the way the prestigeous hairsalon i was talking about is, the CT salon, is cassandra tan salon, in my basement.
after the cameras it was the printers. just looked around. hp doesnt carry the range of products. epson's inkjet printing were impressive, but that's cos they printed on their own epson semi gloss paper. havent got a chance to see it print on normal 80gsm uncoated paper. the results would definitely vary a great deal. canon's prices were a bit suspicious. and i'm not sure about the printing quality also. and we got a free pen from the apple booth! yay.
we proceeded to bugis. checked out letraset, the sole agent of pantone products i think. they actually have quite few things, and i got a feeling they're the high end ones. across the street there's this shop that sells sewing things and heaps of ribbons. the best thing is that they're reasonably priced. bugis/new bridge road area is a wonderful place to go :)
i'm feeling abnormally cold right now. sigh. maybe it's a sign that i should sleep. gotwork to do in the morning! rarrr. my stomach feels funny too.
